charlie's mutation maker
Our client, Family Channel, needed help promoting their new show What's Up Warthogs, a tween comedy about a group of unlikely teenagers put together to make the morning announcements at West Hills High less boring. As a part of this collaboration, we read the scripts, gave feedback and developed the brand of the show.
In our second installment (see Laney's Brainies), we explored the mindset of the boy behind the scenes at What's Up Warthogs, Charlie McGuiness. Family describes him as:
He's got his own way of looking at things and ideas about everything from political conspiracies to personal hygiene! Charlie once stayed up for 86 hours straight on a quest to look at EVERY page on the internet... he ALMOST made it!
And when hero/prankster/news anchor Eric Ortiz needs a visual to match his hyperbolic reporting style, Charlie comes to the rescue with a video featuring lasers, squirrels and an unexpected janitor. With this in mind, Ross Phernetton, Grant Eull, Tess Haun and I thought it only natural to create an experience for tweens to make their own Charlie video.
