status for youth
Aviva challenged us to raise awareness about their Street to School program by creating a Facebook initiative. Proximity answered with Status for Youth:
For one day this summer, everyone's Facebook status will be something we actually care about. Because for one day, we're asking Americans to donate one status update to a youth-focused charity. By donating your status, you'll lend your voice to one of four charities that need it, and you'll influence what share of $100,000 in grants they receive from Aviva. How's that for a post-worthy cause? To donate your status visit Aviva USA on Facebook between now and September 30.
Step 1: Select your charity.
Step 2: Donate your status on September 30th to your chosen charity. Not only will a message post on your wall on September 30th, but you helped that charity win a portion of a $100,000 grant from Aviva.
Follow your influence, your friends' influence and watch how your charity of your choice holds up in the standings.
In the end, Covenant House reigned victorious over the other three charities, earning a $60,000 grant from Aviva USA. Aviva went from having a measly 700 Likes on Facebook to growing over 16,000 in two months time. Utilizing the fan base behind the four selected charities, gave Aviva a social media presence beyond employees and agents.
